Organisations now faced with high fuel costs and under pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, are increasingly turning to us to help them control their costs and emissions with HVO because there is little-to-no upfront, capital expenditure required. However, the increase in operating expense from switching to Diesel to 100% HVO may still not be financially sustainable.
HVO:Diesel blends are often a better fit for these organisations than 100% HVO; providing them with greenhouse gas emission savings at an economical cost that works for them.

Simarco turned to us to help them cut greenhouse gas emissions from their heavy fleet in a financially sustainable way. This provides them with a method of reducing GHG emissions in a controlled and measured way.
At time of writing, the pricing-level of 100% HVO is at a ~35 pence per lite premium over Diesel and provides a ~90% GHG emission saving.
HVO20 is at a ~10 pence per litre premium over Diesel and provides a substantial 18% GHG emission saving.
We have included the pros and cons of HVO:Diesel blends for your consideration below.
+ the pricing-level is lower than 100% HVO
+ improved performance vs conventional Diesel,
+ good-to-go when required – storage properties better than Diesel, not prone to 'Diesel' bug and contamination like conventional Diesel, shelf-life up to 10 years.
+ Blends of up to 30% HVO with Diesel meet the EN590 standard Diesel specification – making for an even easier switchover - it is 'Diesel'.
+ It is simpler to hedge fossil diesel than HVO. In turn, it is easier / cheaper for us to provide you with index-linked or fixed-rate pricing for these blends.
- Availability in smaller drops is limited – we would be delighted to discuss your specific requirements.
- GHG emission savings are lower than 100% HVO.
